What is Star Citizen?

Developed by Cloud Imperium, Star Citizen is an ambitious, ever-evolving MMO focused on space trading and combat. The team is constantly pushing the limits of gaming tech, which means the game is always growing and changing.

The studio is actually working on two separate projects:

• Star Citizen: The massive, persistent multiplayer universe. It’s still in a pre-alpha state, but it gets quarterly updates that make it more playable and stable every time...well most of the time :-) Here is their current road map... but it changes often.
  
  
• Squadron 42: A high-budget, single-player cinematic adventure set in the same universe, featuring a star-studded cast. This maybe out in the next 12 months.

How to get started

Let’s be honest: Star Citizen is a beast unlike anything else out there. It has a learning curve, so your best bet is to find a wingman to show you the ropes!
